maxi bubbles planning night

Cat pissed off with work, threatening resignation.
I head down to Ruth Stewart’s house on Learmonth Gardens in the evening for discussion for the next term of Maxi-Bubbles.

lunch at the MacLean's

Church in the morning (where both Cat & I actually are in the service!) – Dave preaches very challenging sermon.
Lunch with Duncan & Esther and children – tickle Katie….Relaxing evening watching some Friends dvds.

ceramics

High winds overnight and rain – golf course closed. Instead Cat, Grace & I head to Ceramic place near Ocean Terminal where Grace does hand & foot print on plate and paints a snail. I join her in the “soft-play” area.

back to square 1

Cat’s period arrives – so we are both feeling pretty flat.
Look after Grace. Head into town where we meet up with Cat for coffee in Waterstones, then get a taxi back home. Grace is a nightmare in the afternoon – but an angel in the evening when she keeps trying to put me to bed…Cat out for evening for Fi’s birthday party (Harvey Nich’s then Valvonna & Crolla).

back to work....

but at least it's just a 2 day week!

good result on the shopping

Head to town in morning with Cat & Grace.
Have eye test at 20/20 followed by brief shopping in some shops – but buy very little.
In the afternoon, I do finances etc. on computer and then spend rest of day taking down Christmas decorations and clearing out cupboard in lounge.
Enjoy relaxing evening watching TV and surfing on internet.

78 - good golfing year?

Get up early to play golf with Domenic, Andy & Willie.
Shoot 78 (out in 35 with 3 birdies) and win 4&2 (with Willie).
Cat goes to shops in afternoon while I look after Grace who is very grumpy, but eventually falls asleep.
Jo & Andy come round for a meal (Salmon) and we have a very pleasant evening with them. Grace now in top form, except when we put her to bed when she cries for 10 minutes.

pregnant

Skip church as we have a lie-in. Get up with Grace while Cat has long lie-in. She then comes in with positive pregnancy test…..reckons the due date will be 9 September.
Day is spent having a clear-out of the cupboards in hall.
Phil, Fi, Gregor & Ruaridh come round for afternoon tea and then Jeannie, Andrew & Phoebe pop round too. All seem to be in good form.
Put Grace to bed and she cries for 30 minutes
Evening again spent watching Friends dvds.

Open house at Ogilvy's

See the New Year in with Martyn & Amanda – playing “The Settlers”.
Grace up at 5am – bouncing all over our bed.
They leave mid-morning and we then head to Dorothy & Francis’ for “open house” where we stay and chat with a few people for 2-3 hours.
Evening is spent watching Friends dvds.
