Both Catrin and I went completely apeshit this morning. Grace managed to get hold of Cat's nail varnish (having been explicitly told several times that she was not allowed to go near it) and left it opened on the coffer in the sitting room. The inevitable happened...Joseph got hold of it and waved it around our brand new carpet and also puit some in his mouth. The carpet (about 4 weeks old) is ruined. Oh well, it only cost a grand.....Needless to say that there were some very strong words - and Grace ended up in tears. She's grounded until she's 21.
