more court cock-ups

In court again this morning - but this time for a bit longer. However, 2 witnesses failed to turn up (the prosecution sent citations but to the wrong address). Surely this would be something you'd expect them to get right if you are a lawyer and going to court?......there were only 5 witnesses after all.....the result? case deferred until 23 July - where they can waste more people's time (and employers money). There were about 50 potential jurors for 15 spaces......quite why they need so many is anyone's guess. It seems that our judicial system is not only crap at locking people up - buyt it's also crap at organising itself but excellent at wasting people's time and money.

Took the rest of the day off as a paternity day (I get 10 days). Grace & I went for an ice cream at Luca's followed by a coffee at Starbucks and then I took Joseph and Poppy in double buggy to Phil & Fi's (Cat took Grace in the car). Beat Gregor 43-4 at football (he's only 5 - so I didn't do any 2 footed tackles....)

The evening was spent watching Liverpool get beaten by a poor Milan side 2-1 in the Champions League final.
