It was Phoebe's birthday party today - in East Linton. I didn't fancy going - so Joseph and I stayed at home to do some "shopping" while Cat took Grace & Poppy. Shopping included buying a couple of mouse traps (I now have a small collection) and some gizmo which you plug into your socket and it emits a noise which will annoy them enough that they'll bugger off somewhere else. Now, I'll admit that this isn't as satisfying as torturing the little sheisters or battering their heads with a rolling-pin - but it's the result that counts (hopefully).
Rather fractious lunch with Joseph at Starbucks - where we couldn't find a baby seat and the staff were utterly useless. This didn't help my humour.
Family trip in the afternoon to the park by St Peters School in Morningside where Joseph managed to fall over and have a very tasty crack on the head....he decided the choose the one bit of concrete rather than the acres of bouncy soft stuff that they are meant to hit their heads on! Typical.
