What did people do before parks were invented? (probably send their kids down the mines...). Today we went to not one park - but 2. It's hardly comparing Disneyland to Busch Gardens - as it was Bruntsfield Links versus Blackhall (we went there as it was further away and therefore took longer to get there - other parents will understand why you do this from time to time). Not a lot that one can say about parks - there are swings, climbing frames and other "fun" things designed to injure or kill your child. We have decided that 3 children is pretty "full-on" when all 3 are there. Putting a positive spin on it - when you have 2 or less - it's comparatively a piece of cake. But I'm a glass half-empty sort of guy - so I'm looking at it as 18 years of stress, exhaustion, expense and frustration.

parks and more parks
